Residential Fire

On Tuesday at 6:59 PM, Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire reported at 2900 West Willow Street, in the Acadian Villa Estates Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke emitting from the residence.

Firefighters entered the structure and located a fire in the kitchen of the home, which was quickly brought under control, preventing further spread throughout the home.

A preliminary investigation determined that the fire originated as a result of an unattended pot while cooking. The kitchen sustained moderate fire damage, with the remainder of the residence impacted primarily by smoke.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported during the incident.
