Apartment Fire

On Wednesday at 4:20 PM, the Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Ile des Cannes Apartment Complex located in the 100 block of Natchez Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke emitting from a second-story apartment. Crews quickly entered the structure and located the fire in a second-story bedroom. Thanks to the swift and coordinated response, the fire was brought under control before it could spread further throughout the unit.

The bedroom sustained moderate fire damage, while the remainder of the apartment was primarily affected by smoke. Fortunately, no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.

The Scott Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Judice and Duson Fire Departments.
